animate! awards haul at Rotterdam

Congratulations go to a couple of gems from last year's animate! scheme, RABBIT by Run Wrake and WHO I AM AND WHAT I WANT by David Shrigley & Chris Shepherd both picked up Tiger Awards for Short Film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) today. Both shorts are sick and twisted and most excellent. The former feels like the most perfect manifestation of Run Wrake's usual jolty collage style, using found cutouts from a Fifties comic book, while the latter is a funny poke in the eye as Shrigley and Shepherd's filthy sides run riot.
